  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 2/3 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup plain non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets for even cooking.
  2. In a bowl, mix gluten-free flour, non-dairy milk, garlic powder, and salt. Toss the cauliflower in the batter until well coated.
  3. Add gluten-free breadcrumbs and ensure each floret is covered.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
  5. Cook half of the battered cauliflower for 10–13 minutes until crispy.
  6. While cooking, heat oil in a small pot and sauté minced garlic and ginger. Add remaining sauce ingredients and whisk well.
  7. Thicken the sauce by mixing cornstarch with water and adding it to the pot until it reaches desired consistency.
  8. Toss cooked cauliflower in the sauce before serving.
